B&S Trumpets

I bought my first B&S instrument, the 3136LR C trumpet back in 2001 when they were pretty well unknown in Ireland and the UK.  I wanted to start using the C trumpet more for chamber music and opera performances, but had really little idea of where to look for something that might suit. After a couple of days in London trying just about every make and model, and getting more and more confused I was handed the B&S 3136 reverse lead pipe C by Adrian Parker at Phil Parker Ltd.  “These are just in”  he said. It was as if the cloudy skies suddenly cleared.  Great response and immediately immacualte tuning made it so comfortable to play.  And so started my love affair with B&S.

In 2011 B&S invited me to become a performing artist for them. Opportunities to travel and promote these wonderful trumpets has been a real thrill.  Particularly fun has been all the sessions with young people, giving them some insight into good technique, how to practice, and infecting them with enthusiasm for trumpet.
